Hello, I'm Maryam. I'm excited to be a gapper at gap intelligence, a company that focuses and prioritizes its company culture! I'm the newest addition to our TV team and I'm also working on Quixel.
In my first week as a gapper I attended gap intelligence culture classes such as gap101, Sales101, Analyst101 and gapWriting101. These classes were a great way to be introduced to the company's core values and it's general operations. gap intelligence's curriculum drove home just how important culture is to the company and how the employees try to embody it in and out of the office through their work and passions.
While learning about our culture and exactly what gappers do every day was amazing, but once I dove into the actual work, it was overwhelming. I had to remind myself that with persistence I would be able to master "all things gap intelligence," just as I have mastered my favorite hobby, painting. This is the first painting I have ever done and below that is another project I am currently working on:
When I first took up painting, I mistakenly thought it would come naturally. As it often turns out with things we believe to be easy, painting is incredibly challenging. The process of painting has been somewhat similar learning gap intelligence's ins and outs. As a Data Operations Specialist for the TV category I have had to learn all about TVs and new technologies surrounding it. After learning so much about the TV world, I started to delve into gap intelligence’s complicated excel reports. These reports were terrifying at first but I am thrilled to say that I am learning to master them (very similar to my passion of painting). I don’t have all the processes down quite yet, but I am super excited to learn more in my new role as a Data Operations Specialist at gap intelligence.
