Is there a time when you can say that you made an impact? Has there been a moment that your time, talent, or treasure contributed to something for the greater good or touched lives? I am sure that we all have those kinds of moments both large and small.
On March 15th, gap intelligence used its Time, Talents, and Treasure to host the company’s first ever golf tournament and raised over $10,000 for the Emilio Nares Foundation. The Emilio Nares Foundation (enfhope.org) is a San Diego non-profit that gives logistical support to low-income families with a child fighting cancer. ENF’s primary service is its “Ride with Emilio” shuttle service that gives round trip rides from home to clinic for families who would otherwise rely on public transportation.
Part of our mission statement at gap intelligence is that “We are driven to contribute to something bigger than ourselves and trust that our hard work will turn into something great and that we’ll have fun along the way.” With that, there is no doubt that we would make “Drives for Rides” as fun and entertaining as possible.
On March 15th, 88 golfers rolled in to Riverwalk Golf Course and played an 18-hole Florida Scramble style golf tournament. gappers not only organized the tournament, but reached out to our community for sponsors and prizes. During the tournament, gappers kept the fun going as we manned a “marshal” station at each tee box and green to cheer on the golfers and drove a fleet of golf carts filled with water and fun.
Special thanks to tournament coordinator Kennedy Golf!
Special thanks to San Diego City Councilman Mark Kersey!
Our team of gapMarshals!
Special thanks to those who donated fabulous prizes to the tournament!
Special thanks to those who pretended to want to win Gary’s Burrito Truck!
Thank you to our 88 golfers!
And a super special thanks to our gap intelligence 3Ts Team!
With the help of our generous sponsors and talented golfers, gap intelligence was able to raise $10,000 for ENF, whose work leaves a immeasurable mark on our community. ENF saves lives and the donations raised on March 15, 2013 will have a direct impact on children who would otherwise not have the resources to receive the care that they so desperately need. I hope that our clients, vendors, and friends of gap intelligence are as proud to work with our company as I am to be a part of it.
We are a little company that does great big things.
A Special Thanks to our Wonderful Sponsors!!!
