We are excited to announce that Drives for Rides is back for the fourth year in a row! The countdown is on as we are less than two months away from our awesome golf tournament benefitting the Emilio Nares Foundation (ENF). If you are not familiar with ENF, it is a local non-profit here in San Diego that navigates families through their child’s journey with cancer. We are proud to partner with such an incredible organization and excited to provide you with the opportunity to support ENF and make a lasting impact in our local community, all while having a little fun along the way.
In Loving Memory of Aaron Sanchez
Details
When: May 6, 2016
Where: Encinitas Ranch Golf Course
How: with your help!
Our goal this year is to raise $40,000, which goes directly to ENF’s flagship program: Ride with Emilio. Last year alone, the ENF team members spent 162,000 hours driving over 50,000 miles to provide 4,500 rides to over 250 patients in San Diego, Imperial County, Orange County, and San Francisco. That’s over 2,000 appointments! It is funds from the golf tournament that helped make this possible.
To ensure no child misses a cancer treatment due to a lack of transportation, our Drives for Rides golf tournament focuses on three main elements to reach our goal of $40,000: sponsorships, donations, and golfers.
Sponsorships
One of the most direct ways to contribute, Drives for Rides offers the following sponsorship opportunities:
- Title Sponsor: $10,000 (includes 2-foursomes in tournament)
- Major Sponsor: $7,500 (includes 1-foursome in tournament)
- Tournament Sponsor: $5,000
- Course Sponsor: $3,000
- Hole-in-One Insurance Sponsor: $1,500
- Beverage Sponsor: $750
- Hole Sponsor: $300/hole
Lunch Sponsor: lunch for golfersSOLD!

About the Emilio Nares Foundation
Richard and Diane Nares lost their only son, Emilio Nares, to cancer when he was 5-years-old. Turning tragedy into hope, the Nares family created the Emilio Nares foundation (ENF) in 2003. ENF provides a variety of programs and services for low-income, underprivileged families whose child has cancer. ENF’s flagship program, Ride With Emilio, is a transportation service in California. At this time no other transportation exists that is dedicated to the unique socio-economic needs of low-income families whose children must access cancer treatment on time, but cannot due specifically to transportation barriers. The Ride With Emilio program has virtually eliminated missed appointments due to transportation challenges among the patients served. Ride with Emilio has been recognized as a model program by the U.S. Surgeon General and President Obama. We are a 501C3 tax-exempt organization. All donations to the Emilio Nares Foundation are tax deductible. Learn more about ENF: www.ENFHope.org
