gap intelligence is always looking for ways to provide added value to clients. Last year, we launched two new services with Vacuums and PC Monitors. We similarly started 2018 launching Voice Assistance Speakers and Cooktops and Wall Ovens services, and we’re already working with several leaders in each of these categories.
Innovation is Key
Some of these clients were brand new to gap intelligence, just like the categories they subscribed to, while others were already clients, who like gap intelligence were trying to find new ways to expand their reach. Regardless of the situation, innovation and expansion are essential for us and our clients. Companies like Blockbuster, Toys R Us, and many others have learned the hard way that if you are not constantly striving to find new ways enhance the way that you do business, then you have essentially already set your expiration date.
Innovation is Cultural
At gap intelligence, innovation starts with our employees. We describe our culture as a “cultivation culture,” which inspires gappers to get creative since our leaders value people and trust our ability to think outside the box. Creativity is the best way to serve our current and future clients and the only way we can share continued growth. Employees that are up for the challenge can join groups such as our "New Category Team" and newly founded "Innovation Team". These teams set the platform for creativity. We first sit at the table with the idea of never limiting ourselves to the possibilities that are out there. That doesn’t mean that every category or idea will be approved, but it does allow each of us to be creative and think of new ways to support our clients.
One of my goals this year was to help launch four new categories and thankfully we on our way acheive that. With Wireless Routers and Air Purifiers launching in the coming months, we are sure to help our current and future clients expand their businesses while serving as their eyes and ears in the marketplace. We will continue to think innovatively since that is crucial for our long-term success.
