Hi, my name is Christine and although there are a couple of newbies to the gap family, I believe I am officially the newest gapper (perhaps by a mere couple of days) and I couldn’t feel more honored. I joined gap intelligence in the midst of our move from downtown to <<beautiful Liberty Station at the start of the year. Unlike any company I have worked for, gap truly embodies the definition of a team. In an open office environment, we are encouraged to solve problems together, seek answers through conversation and expand our knowledge on a day to day basis to contribute to the larger overall mission of the company. The work ethic and dedication of my co-workers is impressive to say the least!
So what is it that I do here at gap? My world is retail (or as Gurpreet so lovingly nicknamed me, I am the ‘Retail Angel’). Starting off on the coattails of Michelle Cowan, I <<have taken everything retail related under my wings. I have the honor of working with our nationwide field of data collectors, the eyes and ears that visit retail locations across the country. I have taken a role in developing our new and improved gapApp that will further distinguish gap intelligence as a leader in our market. I am also beginning to train new data collectors in our ever expanding regions across the country… we have big things in store! It is very exciting to be part of a company that hands you an opportunity and tells you the sky is the limit.
It’s an honor to be part of the gap family and I must admit….the gap bug is contagious (who would have thought I’d grow to enjoy Microsoft Excel this much?!).
