Our culture is our greatest asset. gap intelligence is a special place that encourages professional growth and development in a truly inspirational environment. We have our own conference (gapCon 2012 – June 8th), our own gapUniversity (gapUniversity.net), and a realization that our business has an inherent responsibility to give back to our local community.
Our culture creates our people, who are the very best that I have ever worked with. Our team cares about each other, cares about our causes, and is a permanent pillar of instant support for our clients. We used to take pride in responding to client inquiries in less than 24 hours, we are posting an average response time of just one hour now.
Our dedication to ourselves, the community, and our clients has translated into a healthy growing company that has recently been recognized by the business world. While we are in the business of contributing to something bigger than ourselves, receiving awards like these is nice pat on the back:
In September, gap intelligence was ranked #1,814 on Inc Magazine’s Top 5,000 Fastest Growing Companies of 2011. Honestly we have never been so excited to be #1,814 and to join other great local San Diego businesses (Stone Brewery!!).
When gap intelligence first started in 2003, we didn’t have a business address to hang our hat on. At the time, Reid Carr, Founder of Red Door Interactive and soccer buddy of Gary’s, offered an empty cubicle in his four-person office that was located on the corner of 15th & K Street in downtown San Diego. Reid and Red Door Interactive not only set us with a desk, fax line, internet connection, and mailing address, his company built our first www.gapintelligence.com website for next to nothing.
Reid and the wonderful Red Door Interactive were three spots ahead of us at #1,811 making the Inc 5,000 a very small world experience. There must have been something in the tap water at 15th & K….
San Diego’s Fastest 100 2011
gap intelligence was just recently named one of San Diego’s Fastest 100 growing businesses by the San Diego Business Journal. While we placed 39th on the list, I would wager that we would be in the Top 10 of San Diego if speed was determined by a foot race.
San Diego’s Healthiest Companies 2011
I’m not exactly sure how gap intelligence was named a Finalist for San Diego’s Healthiest Companies, clearly the San Diego Business Journal did not attend the three brisket, three tri-tip, and four pig rib BBQ I hosted for gapUniversity’s Spirit Week, but we do have hula-hoops in the office.
Thank you all for your continued support and its wonderful to see that our great people have created a culture that drives success both in business and within the community.
