1) Name:

Courtney Capobianco

2) How did you get to gap intelligence?

After graduating from UCSD, I moved to the Bay Area and began my career working as research scientist. As great as the Bay Area is, I always wondered why I left San Diego. Fast forward 4.5 years and I was finally able to make my way back and decided that it was time to try something different work-wise. I had connections with both current and past employees of gap intelligence and had always heard how awesome the company is, so when I found out they were hiring I jumped at the opportunity.

3) What values lead you?

One of the values that leads me would have to be willingness to learn. I have always enjoyed pushing myself to be better, whether it is in a work environment or for personal growth. However, the most important value that I live by is integrity since all good relationships are built on trust. I strive to be as dependable as possible and always do what is right, even when no one is watching.

4) What skills are you bringing to gap intelligence and what skills are you excited to learn?

I am bringing a strong attention to detail and analytical skills from my background as a research scientist. I am most excited to expand my knowledge of excel since although I have previously used it a lot, I know that there is so much more to it than calcuating basic statistics and making graphs.

5) If you could have any superpower, what would it be, why, and what would you do with it?

It would definitely have to be the ability to teleport. There’s so many different places I want to be able to see in my lifetime, but the actual process of traveling to all these places is the worst. It would be especially great if this power let me teleport other people with me so I could share all these experiences.

6) What’s the quirkiest thing about you that you’re willing to admit?

That I always put my left shoe on first. Even if my right shoe is already in my hand and ready to go, I’ll put it down and grab the left one. I have no idea when or why this started, but it feels uncomfortable or like I’m doing something wrong if I try to put my right one on first.

7) What’s your favorite thing to do in San Diego?

There’s way too many to pick just one favorite, plus I tend to be pretty indecisive and can never pick favorites for anything. I do really enjoy anything that has to do with being outside though. Whether it’s hanging out at the beach, doing something active, or just enjoying brunch somewhere with a view.

8) What was the last gift you gave someone?

My sister and I got my parents tickets for a fun family outing to do the Malibu Wine Safari. We spent the afternoon wine tasting and feeding all the animals on the ranch, like Stanley their movie star giraffe. It was a blast!
