Role Overview: Join our dynamic technology operations team as a Scraper Lead, where your primary focus will be on maintaining and optimizing our vital web scraping tools. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our product, which relies heavily on continuously updated data from various web sources. Expect to work on transitioning from our current platform to more efficient third-party solutions, while managing existing scrapers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Maintain and troubleshoot 1st and 3rd party scrapers, including those for e-commerce and social media
– Work within a JIRA-based workflow to address and resolve issues identified by the QA team
– Collaborate closely with a team of three, contributing to our knowledge base on web scraping techniques
Requirements:
– 3+ years of experience in web scraping
– Proficiency in Python (3.10) and Ruby (2.4)
– Strong skills in Selenium, requests.get, proxies, APIs, and Linux
– Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills
– Must reside in North or South American time zones
– Familiarity with GenAI technologies is encouraged
